When we started designing our home, I knew I wanted to do something a little more dramatic in the office. I picked out this deep Navy for the cabinets (SW Indigo Batik) and paired them with gold pulls from Emtek. I love the way they turned out, but if I am being honest, I wish I would have thought about the whole picture of the office a little more. These are the things you learn the first time you build. In the future I would like to add some wood detailing to the walls and carry the navy color throughout the room. For now though, I am just focusing on the decor in the office and I am so in love with this new plaid rug from Target. It is part of the Studio McGee collection (of course!) and I am so impressed with the quality. It is so soft and constructed beautifully, especially for the price.

Since this office is where my husband works all day everyday, He choose a stand-up desk. I had picked out a really cool desk for the office, but since he is the one using this space everyday I had to let that go and be ok with the function of the stand up desk. He did choose a really nice looking one from a local Austin company called UpLift.

Finally, we added a comfy leather chair in the corner. I looked at a lot of different options for this piece and actually ended up finding the one we went with at HomeGoods. It is so soft and I love having another place to sit in the office while Ben works. I still need to add something to the wall above the chair to complete this space, but I am loving how it is all coming together.
